The Brazilian industry will present solutions for plastics transformation, with companies that already have a presence in the Peruvian market.

PERU, August 25, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / -- Brazilian machinery and equipment manufacturers participating in Expoplast 2026 will arrive in Lima with a consolidated commercial presence in Peru. The nine companies export to the

country, and 56% have more than 15 years of experience in international markets. From August 19 to 22, they will be exhibiting in the Brazil Pavilion, showcasing technologies for plastics processing and molding, printing and converting flexible materials, as well as automation, thermal engineering, and recycling solutions.

Brazilian participation is being facilitated through Brazil Machinery Solutions (BMS), a program promoting Brazilian machinery and equipment exports, developed by ABIMAQ (Brazilian Association of the Machinery and Equipment Industry) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

The manufacturers' level of internationalization is also reflected in the diversity of markets they serve. In addition to Peru, the companies export to Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Mexico, Colombia, and the United States, while some also maintain operations in Germany and South Africa. According to Patrícia Gomes, Executive Director of Foreign Markets at ABIMAQ and a specialist in foreign trade for the machinery and equipment industry, the focus in Lima will be on expanding sales and developing new business opportunities.

“These are manufacturers who arrive at the fair with a solid understanding of the market, their buyers, and the needs of Peruvian industry,” she states.
Diversity of the Brazilian Portfolio

The variety of products to be presented at the event covers complementary stages of industrial processing. The portfolio includes machinery for injection molding, extrusion, and thermoforming; flexographic printing equipment; cutting, welding, laminating, and rewinding solutions; molds, dies, and tools; as well as industrial refrigeration systems, thermal engineering solutions, auxiliary equipment, coil handling systems, and recycling technologies.

The group comprises Eletrothermo Comércio e Indústria, G4 / BoyService Máquinas, Golden Fix Sistemas de Fixação, Lakatos Equipamentos para Embalagens, Laserflex Industrial, Mecalor Soluções em Engenharia Térmica, R&A Máquinas Flexo e Gráficas, RTK / MTF Termoformadoras, and Seibt Máquinas.
According to the director, competing in international markets demands continuous technological development and the ability to adapt equipment to industrial demands. “This development must keep pace with advances in productivity and efficiency, as well as increasingly specific technical requirements,” she states.

Research and innovation are also among the investment priorities of the manufacturers participating in the trade fair. Among these companies, 89% allocate up to 10% of their revenue to R&D, while 33% maintain international technological alliances with European, Asian, or North American companies. In the environmental sphere, 67% report developing sustainability initiatives, including machinery designed to improve energy efficiency.

Exports in the segment are growing.
Brazil's presence at Expoplast comes against a backdrop of declining exports in the segment during the first half of the year. According to ABIMAQ, Brazilian exports of machinery and accessories for the plastics industry totaled US$27.7 million between January and June 2026, a 2% increase compared to the US$27.3 million recorded in the same period of 2025.

For Patrícia, the manufacturers' commercial experience in Latin America provides them with greater knowledge of sales conditions and customer service requirements in the region's markets. Among the factors identified by the companies themselves as competitive advantages in international markets are quality, durability, customization, technical assistance, technology, and logistical proximity.

Expoplast expects to receive more than 18,000 visitors and over 400 national and international companies. Held every two years at the Villa Complejo Ferial Exhibition Center in Lima, the 2026 edition will take place alongside Eco Perú Expo, the Recycling and Waste Congress, Pack Perú Expo, and the Packaging Congress, with activities related to plastics, packaging, recycling, and waste management.
