On the Passing of Lydia de Vega-Mercado
I join the whole country in mourning the passing of a legend - the Asia's Sprint Queen Lydia de Vega-Mercado.
We will never forget the honor he has given to our Filipinos since the 1980s. He said the Philippines had been admirable in our neighbouring country.
But more than that, we should thank him for the inspiration he has given us, not just as an athlete and as a Filipino.
