Embrace to the sea: symbolic act will celebrate World Oceans Day and the 30th anniversary of Rio-92. The action will also be held in Brazil and the United States.

CASCAIS, SANTA CATARINA, PORTUGAL, May 19, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ -- A big hug full of meanings. Thus will be the 2nd edition of "Aquele Abraço", a movement of Route Portugal that will be held on June 8, from 11am, at Carcavelos Beach, in Cascais. The event is once again held, after more than two years of pandemic, in order to celebrate World Oceans Day and also warn the population about the importance of conscious attitudes, such as the urgent preservation of seas and coastal ecosystems.

For this new edition, the expectation is that more than 500 volunteers participate in the action, embracing the Ocean, along the 1.20 km long beach. The symbolic act of

collective embrace (and full of messages) will be followed by a great mobilization for a cleanliness action, with much VIBE involved. According to Simão Felippe, president of ROUTE Brasil, the action means much more than removing garbage from the beach: "It is an opportunity to rethink the attitudes of each one as a citizen. Better understand the impact of our consumption. It is through example and gaining consciousness, individual and collective, that we generate engagement for the changes we need. In addition, 2022 is emblematic, as it represents 50 years of the Stockholm Conference and 30 years of Rio-92 - United Nations Conference on Environment and Development." It is thinking about the rescue of the atmosphere of these events and principles that ROUTE invites everyone to put in place effective measures for the well-being of our planet.

The #AqueleAbraço is a realization of ROUTE Global and this year will be held simultaneously in three cities: Rio de Janeiro, Lisbon and San Diego. In Portugal, carcavelos beach will be divided into 10 strategic points for public reception, also with an operational and managerial support base. Volunteers interested in participating in the event in Portugal can register through the https://routeportugal.org/aqueleabraco/.

The biggest embrace in the world The action follows a great milestone conquered by ROUTE Brazil on World Oceans Day 2019: the 1st edition of #AqueleAbraço brought together more than 15,000 people over 18.3 km, between the beaches of Barra da Tijuca and Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil and is considered the largest hug to the ocean in the world. The event had an immense national and international repercussion, echoing to the world the power of a hug and counted more than 111,000 waste stripped of the waterfront, screened and correctly destined Difficult moments and the year of the turn The years 2020 to 2022 were marked by the pandemic of COVID-19, coming from devastating virus. Many wonder about its origin or possible motivations. For ROUTE, the fact is that human dismay with the impacts of our consumption, with the levels of hygiene and basic sanitation and with an adequate management of solid waste contributed, and greatly, to the aggravation of this situation. As if that were not enough, we are still facing a war between two great independent nations, which brings continuous, profound and systemic reflections to the entire world population in the most diverse fields.

Coincidentally, 2022 represents 10 years of operation of ROUTE. Many were the challenges, learnings and achievements achieved from there to here. ROUTE has gained maturity, increasing its number of volunteers significantly. His mission was cut, going on to be the search for planetary regeneration, focusing on well-being for all members of Santa Natureza.

Increasingly moved by the sense of global urgency, proven by recent international reports on climate change, route global holds another edition of its event of greatest impact - THAT HUG, Copacabana edition and Leme, in addition to actions in Portugal and the United States.

The value of a hug
This event proposes to regenerate the most natural environment of Carcavelos: the beach, the sea and the sands. And nothing more regenerating than an embrace, the universal form of affection, sometimes being even an instrument of therapy. This touch improves the feeling for ourselves and the environment around us, as well as causing physiological changes in the one that touches and is touched. The act of embracing carries a great symbolism at this time in the world, bringing a sense of belonging, acceptance, affection, well-being and, especially, collectivity. Embracing is a simple method of offering support, healing and development. So, are we going to bring this affection to nature together? Should you embrace and generate a lot of positive impact? #VEMPROABRAÇO
