Creative workshops for children from socially disadvantaged families
SUBOTICA, VOJVODINA, SERBIA, May 29, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ -- By organising creative workshops for children from socially disadvantaged families, our intention is to give youngsters the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities in addition to regular education, thus enriching their adulthood, completely free of charge. Parents are forced to allocate substantial sums of money monthly for various additional activities of their youngest, which despite a lot of effort and will from adults is not equally available to every child.
Through four free workshops, 40 children will learn more about the skills of handmade works, such as decorating techniques,
What is particularly important is that these skills remain forever etched in their memory, and one day they could become the basis for starting their own business and a source of earnings which is of great importance to children from socially disadvantaged families for personal empowerment and independence.
Through this project, they will also be allowed to meet humanity from the earliest age, since after workshops and a number of elaborate items will be organized, several humanitarian bazaars will be organized where all handicrafts will be sold in a good atmosphere complemented by the cultural and artistic programme. Funds raised from the sale will be used to provide materials and conditions for future workshops in order for even more youngsters to go through the same.
The very name of the project is inspired by the mascot of our Association, discarded by the great one-eyed teddy bear. With its existence, even appearance, symbolically represents all that our Association is - a combination of humanity, diversity, tolerance and love. All these values we want to woven into the consciousness of the little ones, annimating them with handmade workshops on which we will convey our experiences to them in our work so far.
Therefore, we want to classify these activities, with the work of the Association so far, into a permanent activity that we would further develop in cooperation with associations of the same orientation locally and beyond. Support free creative workshops so that children from socially disadvantaged families have the same chance as their friends.
