Non-oil trade between Dubai and Sweden grew by 5.3% in 2024 to AED 3.9 billion.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers of commerce operating under Dubai Chambers, has inaugurated a new representative office in Stockholm to strengthen ties between the business community in Dubai and Sweden.

The office was officially inaugurated yesterday in Stockholm during a ceremony attended by H.E. Benjamin Dousa, Sweden's Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade; H.E. Ghasaq Shaheen, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Sweden; and Mr. Salem AlShamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers.

The new office, which is the chamber's first in the Nordic region, has been established within the framework of the Dubai Global initiative. The aim is to deepen bilateral relations and drive the growth of mutual trade and investment opportunities between Dubai and Sweden.
His Excellency Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, commented: "The opening of our Swedish office marks a significant step in our global presence and strengthens our strategic focus on the Nordics. The launch comes at a time when trade between Dubai and Sweden is expanding. In 2024, non-oil trade between the two markets amounted to AED 3.9 billion, an annualized growth of 5.3%. The growing interest among Swedish companies in doing business in Dubai is clearly reflected in the increasing number of registered members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. At the end of the first half of 2025, the number of active Swedish members amounted to 940, of which 127 companies joined during the first six months of the year.

These figures underline the strong development in bilateral relations and the growing presence of Swedish companies in Dubai's dynamic business community. Dubai International Chambers' growing network of representative offices plays a crucial role in attracting businesses, investment and global talent to Dubai.
