TRADING CARD GAMES & FIGHTING GAMES AREA
Due to the great popularity and target group overlap of gaming with trading card games (TCGs) and fighting games, gamescom LAN 2025 is offering its own area with a dedicated hall for TCGs & fighting games for the first time. Visitors can purchase their own tickets specifically for this area, although the early bird tickets for the fighting games are already sold out. With the LAN ticket, fans still have access to all areas.

Three major TCG tournaments have been confirmed so far: Locarna (supported by Ravensburger), Magic: The Gathering (supported by Wizards of the Coast) and Star Wars Unlimited (supported by Blackfire). Away from the tournaments, visitors to “Absolute Objective Grading” can have their most valuable cards graded, purchase new booster packs from Blackfire and the publishers, or test out various TCGs. The TCG ticket sale including the early bird phase starts on Friday, December 20, 2024.

Fighting game fans are looking forward to the final of the EUROPEAN TEKKEN CUP 3, organized by Bandai Namco, which has a prize pool of 32,000 euros. Up to 256 participants will go all out on Friday, February 21. Only the two best players will make it to the final on Saturday and Sunday, where they will compete against the 18 best from Europe.

PUBLISHER & COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

In addition to TEKKEN and TCGs, the gamescom LAN offers more than 25 tournaments.
