DUBAI, DUBAI EXHIBITION CENTRE (EXPO CITY), UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, November 27, 2025 / EINPresswire.com / -- Dubai witnessed the opening of " My Plant & Garden Middle East 2025" at Expo City Dubai, the first exhibition of its kind in the region dedicated to horticulture, landscape design,

and green city innovation. The event was inaugurated in the presence of several senior leaders and officials from various sectors, including His Excellency Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality .

The exhibition highlighted the UAE's ongoing commitment to developing sustainable cities capable of addressing the challenges of climate change and reinforced its position as a leading destination for future urban development.
Hosted at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai, the exhibition aligned with the national priorities stemming from the Dubai Urban Plan 2040 and supported Dubai Municipality's broader strategy to expand green spaces, enhance environmental well-being, and adopt nature-based solutions across the emirate.

This inaugural edition saw the participation of municipalities, horticultural companies, researchers, policymakers, and landscape specialists from the UAE and around the world. Exhibitors showcased the latest plant varieties, water-saving irrigation systems, climate-smart technologies, and landscaping solutions designed to enhance the resilience and efficiency of green infrastructure in arid environments. The
strong participation of UAE companies such as Tanseeq, Desert Group, Philadelphia Agriculture LLC, and Emirates Bio-Fertiliser Factory, alongside international participation from Italy, Spain, and other horticultural regions, reflected the growing need for cross-border collaboration in the face of rising temperatures, water scarcity, and rapid urbanization.

A highlight of the exhibition was the participation of the Italian delegation, headed by Mirko Carloni, Chairman of the Agriculture Committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, who affirmed Italy's commitment to supporting green development efforts in the region. He noted that Italy's flower supply chain is valued at over €3.25 billion, with annual exports approaching €1 billion, based on a well-established reputation for genetic quality, adaptability, and innovation.

Carloni said that choosing Dubai as a strategic location reflected the city's significant transformation, where green spaces have become a fundamental element of sustainable development. He added,
“Italy is playing a leading role. In Dubai, green spaces are no longer an option, but a strategic asset in urban and regional transformation. Our producers, with the support of institutions, were ready to offer advanced technologies and specialized expertise for long-term partnerships. From Dubai, a new story of economic growth, environmental sustainability, and Italian excellence began to unfold.”

MyPlant & Garden Middle East served as a pivotal platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and partnership building between government entities, private sector leaders, and international experts. With its focus on innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, the exhibition reinforced the UAE's position as a driving force for green urban development and environmental progress in the region.
