AZERBAIJAN: Ilham Aliyev met with Chairman and CEO of Neuberger Berman in New York

New York - President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with George Volker, Chairman and CEO of Neuberger Berman, in New York on September 22.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Neuberger Berman and the development prospects.

President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches importance to expanding

cooperation with international financial institutions and prestigious investment companies, and expressed confidence that the partnership with Neuberger Berman will continue successfully in the future.

During the conversation, it was emphasized that the effective partnership of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan with this company since 2016 contributes to the development of the country's financial sector and the expansion of international investment opportunities.

George Volker informed about the global financial and investment activities of the company he headed and expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with Azerbaijan. He emphasized the importance of the economic processes taking place in the region for the company and noted that the existing opportunities for expanding the partnership within the framework of new projects were evaluated.

Founded in 1939 in New York City, Neuberger Berman is a global investment management company. Currently, the company manages more than half a trillion US dollars in assets for international institutions, advisors, and individual investors.
